The daily choice that makes or breaks your business

 
What if I told you…
 
You could go back in time and change just one choice. 
 
Just one decision from yesterday. 
 
How much of a difference do you think it can make in your business?
 
How much of a difference do you think it will make in your life?
 
What if I told the answer is…
 
A LOT
 
Most of us take for granted all the opportunities we have each day that drives us closer to our goals.
 
But…
 
There is one decision above all others that can alter the course of your day. 
 
Have you ever opened your phone intending to look up the name of a prospect and then next thing you know?
 
15, 30, maybe 45 minutes have passed while you scroll through Instagram.
 
Of course, you have….
 
We all have.
 
Our phones are designed to pull our attention. 
 
Pull is the operative word I want to come back to…
 
In the scenario I presented above, you lost up to 45 minutes. 
 
But…
 
We don't realize that we lose so much more than just prospecting later than we want to.
 
We lose the opportunity to prospect for that day.
 
What tends to happen is our old habits kick in, and we make up excuses not to prospect.
 
For Example:
 
Crap, I should have prospected earlier now I have to take my kids to school.
 
Crap, I should have prospected earlier now I have to eat breakfast.
 
Crap, I should have prospected earlier now I have to go to the gym.
 
This is because our habits pull us to do the things we have done most often in our lives.  
 
If you find this happening to you. 
 
The most important thing you can do is look back at your day and try to locate one action.
 
One decision that led to you spiraling away from what you know you should be doing. 
 
Think of it as a fork in the road. 
 
If you don’t do one task, you go down the path of becoming a Top Producer. 
 
If you do that task, you go back down the path which leads you to where you are today. 
 
In the example above, the fork in the road was opening up the iPhone. 
 
Remove that step and prep for whom you want to prospect the day before on a piece of paper, and a new habit is allowed to start. 
 
If you root out these forks in the road choices in your day. 
 
You will quickly find yourself making your business into what you have always dreamed of it being.
